The first thing you would want to know is, ‘How Much Money Do You Make Selling Avon Products?’ It would be illegal to make any claims, which I won’t. The answer to that question depends entirely on your marketing efforts and the amount of time and energy that you are willing to put into your business. Like most network marketing companies, you earn money by selling their products and recruiting new members to sell and distribute the products.
I guess because of the nature of it’s product-line, Avon has become known as the ‘women’ company and certainly has established itself as a household name. The company was founded in 1886 by a book salesman called David McConnell and initially named the California Perfume Company. As a book salesman, David used to give away free rose oil perfumes with his books. He soon discovered, that was exactly the reason why people bought his books – for the rose oil perfumes!
As a representative of Avon, there are a number of ways in which you can earn income. You receive around 20% -50% commission from all of your personal sales. You make these sales typically during parties and hotel meetings and presentations you are encouraged to organise. The percentage of discount you will gain is entirely based on the volume of your own personal sales.
The other way in which you can make income is with what they call ‘Group’ or ‘Team’ volume. You will need to qualify for this pay-out option first though. The commission that you earn is based on the volume of your group or team. Whilst you are building your business with the Avon products and you are building a nice team, you are paid up to 12%, based on the volume of your team. There is one tricky thing though in my opinion which is the fact that ones your team members qualify to receive the commissions that you were receiving, the percentage of pay-out changes and lowers. You will keep getting an ongoing percentage which is based on the volume of the team leader. This is like a ‘Leadership’ bonus. I also believe they do something like a Car bonus. But this is only for the very high levels of their compensation plan.
After reading the above, you can understand that, answering the question ‘How much money do you make selling Avon products?’, is a tough call and simply depends on the individual. The earning potentials are high. If you are a motivated and determined and willing to stay focussed, you certainly can make good income.
If you enjoy organising hotel meetings and presentations, talking to your friends and family in order to sell the products, then this is for you! In my personal opinion however, I would look for something that is online based. So you can really work from home to run your business.
